Eating Well – Day 66

This is going to brief.

It was insanely hot today. Got in 13k steps by going out very early and by going out after dinner.

Breakfast: avocado toast w/lemon & kale

Lunch: chicken bruschetta

Dinner: 1 cup blackberries, 1 cup strawberries, 1 chicken cutlet

Snacks: 1/4 cup almonds, 1 oz mozzarella, 1/2 cup of pistachio ice cream

New recipe, but no photo–take a look at the link though because it did actually look like that. Grilled Chicken Bruschetta (minus the grill). No changes to the recipe and it came together very quickly. I will make that again.

On the Road and Back – Days 56-59

I returned today from a 4-day trip. No photos, sorry (I know I suck as a blogger), but let’s just say I ate all the things.

Stuff I did well:

  • Trying to get the dressing on the side
  • Drinking my water
  • Getting in exercise
  • Logging what I ate

Stuff I did not do so well at:

  • Making the healthiest choices
  • Restricting my portion sizes

Brick-and-mortar hell – Day 52

I won’t bore you with my menu today. I did eat out, but otherwise it was mostly leftovers. Today I want to talk about clothes shopping.

I have no idea what it’s like for men who are overweight, but for plus-sized women, clothes shopping in brick-and-mortar stores is its own special kind of hell. I had sworn off it, but sometimes you need clothes and online isn’t always an option.

Initially I had typed up a huge rant, but no one needs to hear that so instead I want to compare some retail experiences I had this weekend while I went in search of a skirt that I need ASAP.
